David Hadley Raises $563,000
with Over $370,000 Cash-On-Hand
State Assembly candidate David Hadley (R - 66th District) reported $374,486 "cash-on-hand" in his most recent June 30, 2014 campaign financial statement.
This information was made public by the Secretary of State last week, and illustrates a stark contrast between Hadley and his opponent, Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi.
"I think it is important to note that over 87% of the donations I have received for my campaign come from individuals," said Hadley. "The majority of them live in the South Bay, and they want to see this district represented by someone who is not beholden to special interests."
In sharp contrast, Muratsuchi has financed his campaign almost entirely with special interest money. Over 89% of Muratsuchi's money comes from corporate PACs, unions and other special interests while less than 7% comes from within the district. In his most recent filing, fully 97% of Muratsuchi's money came from outside the district!
"My opponent has been in the Legislature for almost two years," Hadley noted. "If 93% of his re-election support comes from Sacramento, then who has he really been representing this whole time?"
